2026 Mid-Year Update

Hey Webmasters (and fans), it has been a minute, but that doesn’t mean things haven’t been happening here at the WBA. We started out this year diving headfirst into AI, integrating it into our workflows. That began with several of us setting up our own OpenClaw bots back in January followed by an “all hands” meeting during the first week of February.

Since that time we’ve been sharing all manner of knowledge bombs with one another as we’ve looked to utilize AI within our businesses and personal lives. If the “pace of AI adoption” scares you, we’ve found that having fellow developers sharing their experiences working with Codex, Claude Code, Kimi 2.5, Clawdbot, etcetera helps us each catch our breath and stay abreast of trends while avoiding FOMO.

Some highlights from our collective journeys in tech so far this year:

• 🤖 Several of us have taken the plunge and bought Mac minis to give our agent harnesses their own home (i.e. OpenClaw, Hermes, etc).
• I’ve developed a nice workflow for building Bedrock + Sage theme sites via Codex (loved seeing my first site score a 98/100 “out of the box” on Google Page Speed).
• ⚔️ During today’s WBA Zoom, Andy showed us a CLI Dungeon & Dragons game he has been building (i.e. see this post’s featured image).
• David, who never thought of himself as a coder, has been using AI to write plugins for Adobe In-Design.
• 🔥 The WBA Campfire Chat has been hotter than ever.
